When you can say it in one?
Shot in the Van Vleck Gardens by Raymond Helfrich on Monday where the flowers, anyway, seem to like the weather.

From Sunday's Star Ledger, news that secession talk is alive and well. Five mayors from Essex, including our own Mayor Remsen (left), have produced a new public access television show designed to keep the movement alive and drive home the point that life could be better outside of "Essex."
Taking the debate from back rooms to living rooms, the "Mayors' Forum" program began running on public access stations in Verona, Cedar Grove, Montclair, Glen Ridge and Millburn earlier this month and will repeat through the end of May.
"We want to establish in the public mind that this is happening in five towns," said Montclair Mayor Ed Remsen. "This is real and we're hanging in there with this thing."
When he's not on public access, our renaissance-mayor Ed Remsen can be seen around town, as he was yesterday in full biking regalia, speaking to throngs of happy cyclists yesterday at Bike Montclair. Unconfirmed reports suggest he did not do any actual biking. More on the huge turnout at Bike Montclair next post.

Conservatives may be an endangered species in Montclair, but Jerry Mosier, apparently, survived another year. Raymmmondo, who attended the birthday soiree, snapped a picture of Mosier (left) opening his biggest present. And then, we imagine, they all played Pin the Tail on the Donkey.
Jerry and Kerry, get it?

Spotted yesterday by Raymmmondo, at Adriana O'Toole's annual Christmas bash, Martin Schwartz, owner of Textured Home renovation company and quixotic fighter for preserving the Marlboro Inn.
And, says Raymmmondo, he didn't sound half bad.

... you might want to consider some alternate routes. One of the most popular shortcuts between Montclair and the top of Eagle Rock Avenue is closed, and our correspondent Raymmmondo shows us why: a downed tree near the intersection of Mountain Ave. and Harriet Street in West Orange. The tree was in the reservation.
UPDATE: All clear!

Thom Kennon is a better man than we are. He's made good on his election bet with Montclair's token Republican, Jerry Mosier, and coughed up the $100 he vowed to contribute to two of Mosier's political causes after Kerry lost the presidential election. (Kennon will now get mail from the NRA and the Republican National Committee for life eternity.) Shown here, in an exclusive photo captured by Raymmmondo this past weekend in a secret undisclosed location, is Kennon barely touching "1st Freedom," the magazine of the National Rifle Association

Raymmmondo reports in with an interesting find on Watching Avenue in Montclair on Tuesday night. Seems like the campaign to save the Montclair Inn is continuing, with the "Green Campaign" looking to keep the trend going.
