...serving up your daily dish.
It's the church that helped this family in Irvington, but did you know it also had a star turn on The Sopranos? St. George's in Clifton appeared on an episode way back in Season 4 involving Carmela and her gal pals at church.
This weekend, it's not zeppoles but loukoumades, those addictive fried balls of dough drenched in honey and dusted with cinnamon, that folks will be clamoring for at the church's Clifton Greek Festival. If savory's more your thing, check out this menu which includes souvlaki of course, and my personal fave, grilled octopus. Rides and fun for the kiddies, too. Hours here.

speaking of powerful families like the Soprano's...u gotta love those wacky Kennedy men. Is there a family with better practice and drunken driving and cover ups? Ted must be proud of his son who is acting as arrogant and above the law as his Dad...the cape cod orca.

A quiz- which of these stories is correct:
1) Black 6 term congresswoman walks around a security barrier, is grabbed and cuffed by a cop
2) White congressman drives into a barrier at the Capitol at 3 am. Disoriented and slurred speech, no sobriety test, and driven home by friendly and thoughtful police officers
Quick, does anybody see anything unusual?

She was not "cuffed" nor arrested. You cannot arrest a member of congress on their way to a vote.
Gotta get your facts straight, Teddy.

also forgot to mention she assaulted the officer--sound unusual?

His apology was admirable- however the words "I accept responsibility" never seems to make it in-instead the lame paragraph about flu medication did--if your a graduate of the mayo you know to ask what medications you can and can't take and what to say to a doctor who may be perscribing a medication-...maybe when he gets his 2nd Degree there "it'll take".

(hurrying)Black congresswoman = detained and insulted. I didn't say she was arrested.
(disoriented) White congressman = no testing, and chauferred home. But, he said he was going to a "vote". Maybe to extend the drinking hours?
Sounds like the boys club at work...Be nice to the police, and they'll be nice to you. Worked at Chappadquidick, and it worked here.
