Someone Alert the Media!

Mountainside Hospital will be the scene of a public demonstration tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday) at 4 pm, as Community Friends of Mountainside Hospital beckons the troops for a "Save Mountainside Hospital" support rally.

Doctors, nurses and employees and members of the community are urged to attend -- and, to make it good for the cameras, to wear scrubs, white doctor coats or work clothes.

May 12 is the deadline for suitors to step up and bid for the troubled hospital, now part of Atlantic Health Systems.

Will postcards be involved? (I hope so if there is to be any hope for success)

Paging Dr. House!

maybe ROC could go as the victim of a hit-and-run.

Posted by: pissant | May 8, 2006 3:53:08 PM

I wonder if anyone 'Historic' has been treated there?

Posted by: Right of Center™ | May 8, 2006 3:59:07 PM

Interesting. What are "work clothes" in Baristaville, and do they then help define their wearers? Does lasermikey, for example, wear a hair shirt? Will Walleroo be there in pouch and tucker and a slouch hat with one side pinned up, like Chips Rafferty used to wear?

Posted by: cathar | May 8, 2006 4:06:59 PM

The postcards and rallys worked, one rebel group has signed a peace plan. It is a first step , but a positive one. There is still a long way to go, but the people who wanted to be heard were and they did make a difference.

Posted by: hrhppg | May 8, 2006 4:36:32 PM

It did, hrh! Wow. Must have been all the bags the rebels had to carry full of postcards.

Whew! Problem solved. Bravo! Time to free Tibet?

Posted by: Right of Center™ | May 8, 2006 4:46:18 PM

I have an Australian bush hat if Walleroo would like to borrow it. Actually it's a New Zealand bush hat.

Posted by: Byron | May 8, 2006 4:52:10 PM

cathar,

work clothes are the clothes that you work in. get it?

work clothes for dr's nurses and hospital staff are different than those for day laborers.

Posted by: pissant | May 8, 2006 5:20:41 PM

How much are they selling the hospital for?
I got 10 bucks on me..

Posted by: Stan | May 8, 2006 5:26:15 PM

Cathar(dumbass),
Man, you have a small personality. Were you the bully or bullied in grade school. My guess is you got your butt kicked at the play ground.

Posted by: lasermike026 | May 8, 2006 5:26:27 PM

Thanks Ms. Barista. I will try top make it. I, for one, would hate to loose another hospital.

Stan, dig up another ten spot and send the $20.00 to

ROC

have you been treated there? if so we know that someone ANCIENT has been.

Posted by: cheeze | May 8, 2006 7:18:46 PM

can i get the troll feet combed and groomed at mountainside?

Posted by: Iceman | May 8, 2006 7:20:28 PM

Oh lasermikey, as ever, I cringe before your wit. Still, "dumbass" doesn't have quite the same bite as "war crimes collaborator" or "war criminal." You were better last week.

In so many ways, I'd bet. Your decline is obvious and rapid.

And 'p'ant, what do you wear at work? "Scrubs" because you scrub pots and pans somewhere? Cement-stained Red Ball work boots and overalls because you shape up as a day laborer? Or do you and lasermikey merely swap hairshirts?

Posted by: cathar | May 8, 2006 7:22:11 PM

Cathar,
Where can I get one of those hair shirts?

Your brother,
lasermikey

Hair shirt... doesn't sound fun. I'll stick with cotton.

Posted by: lasermike026 | May 8, 2006 7:59:55 PM

i have a pair of hair shoes for pissant

Read these comments. That's why you can't have an intelligent conversation here. I guess no one else will have them. Oh well ...

Posted by: trollhater | May 8, 2006 9:47:19 PM

trollhater,

Posted by: Iceman | May 8, 2006 10:00:45 PM

This blog needs a code of conduct. I think a digg like voting system would be a good idea too. We need turn down the inflammatory and stupid comments.

Pot, meet Kettle.

Posted by: Trollhater-hater | May 8, 2006 10:20:58 PM

Posted by: Iceman | May 8, 2006 10:24:20 PM

cathar,

i work from home using my intellect, so my usual work-clothes are sweats.

i'm sure that you're wearing some kind of uniform at work.

maybe a "brown " outfit or a corrections dept uniform (i'm sure you love your job).

oh now i've got it you're the GOOD HUMOR MAN!

Posted by: pissant | May 8, 2006 10:31:07 PM

ICE you've tried to get me with that shoe trick before. i didn't fall for it then and i won't now. if i put those troll shoes on i will dance until my feet fall off and i will end up at the Great Notch Inn.

thanks but no thanks!
