April 1
...serving up your daily dish.
Nothing's easy in Montclair, least of all daylight savings time. The latest glitch comes from the environmentally-themed Rand School, which in addition to making sundials out of discarded trash, has decided that clocks should be set forward 90 minutes instead of the usual 60 this year. PTA president Soleil Birkenstock writes...
"I was just IM-ing Gray Russell, who discovered a hamlet in Wales that conserved 18 million kilowatts of power last year, which would be enough to power the entire Crisco McMansion development.
Parents should be aware of the 30-minute delayed opening, but the energy savings more than makes up for the inconvenience.

Sorry, Martta - there is no such thing as April Fool's when you come out of the bunker and declare for truth, justice, and the American Way. Uncle Ted Kennedy is on his way over to your house as we chat to bestow upon you your Lib Dem ID card (so you can be a card-carrying Liberal Democrat, as the Luddites like to call us). Just don't let him drive you to the airport.
