February 14
...serving up your daily dish.
At last, a perhaps appropriate thread for this:
Our Barista may be to modest to hype this, so please allow me to call everyone's attention to the huge sign at the corner of Bloomfield & Ridgewood, announcing that one Debra Galant will be giving a reading from her new novel at the Glen Ridge Women's Club on March 2.
It's really quite an impressive sign. Check it out, & watch out for speeders!

When does Rattled come out? I know you can probably pre-order from Amazon, but I'd rather buy local. I read the first paragraph on-line awhile ago and enjoyed it.

Next week. And plenty of local readings, with books from local booksellers for sale.

Too cool.
Can I come to the reading if I wear my best frock?

Madam Barista,
Are Trolls allowed to attend if they comb their feet?

Trollfrocks mandatory, I hear, but otherwise you'll be fine.

The thing that struck me about the sign was that I could actually read it while I was stopped at the intersection. I am always amazed that organizations put up signs that I could only possibly read if I parked my car and walked up to the sign - which I am not likely to do.
