If you go to Ticketmaster online for tickets to events at Radio City, you are given the following warning before purchase:

"All guests and their belongings may be subject to search, which includes metal-detecting hand wands up entry."

Ouch. Isn't that a tad invasive?

Crank, thanks for the laugh. I actually did outloud at work.

That is beautiful! Great catch, Crank.

What happened to the Epernay thread?

Anyone know about the clearing that seems to be making way for a strip mall along Route 3 West near the Third River in Clifton opposite the Clifton Commons? At first I thought they were making a road for access to Costco, but it looks more and more like a mall space- all the trees have been removed.

Maybe it's just me but I HATE the remodel of the PNC Bank in GR. They removed every architectural detail, they replaced it all with laminate. They left the lobby with only 2 seats to fill out paperwork and they put deposit slips in the railing thing situated in such a way that you would have to be 3 feet tall or get on your knees to see them.
They also did a poor job in terms of ADA compliance.
They have a wide shelf at one teller window, but the window itself is so high that a wheelchair user couldn't reach it. When I mentioned that to the teller, she said that the disabled person would have to bring someone with them to assist. Wrong.
Done ranting.
Happy Holidays. We celebrate them all at our house.

Has anyone noticed the lack of statements from the 2 NY liberal Senators concerning the strike? Are they are too busy raising money to notice that NYC is getting crushed by the illegal strike...or do they not want to upset their liberal base? If they cared about their fellow New yawkers they would be out front screaming. Schumer who never turns down a chance to be in front of a camera is conspicuously absent.

Did anyone notice/hear the loud bang/crash and flash of some sort of light two nights ago in GR near the train. It occurred about Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning in the middle of the night. Maybe a transformer blew?

"Has anyone noticed the lack of statements from the 2 NY liberal Senators concerning the strike?"

Yes, but I noticed that Big Mouth Al Sharpton has pelnety to say!

Yes, Miss Martta, he is such a big mouth. Why is it that the workers and union leaders are doing something illegal, yet we can't follow the legal precedent or custom because then it'll look like a rascist battle. It is illegal. Nothing rascist about it.

A guy who works at the Honda dealer near there told me that between that lot and the one next to the new (UGH) TGIFriday's, he heard we're getting a Bed, Bath & Beyond + a Best Buy + a few other megastores. Just what we need--more traffic right there. SIGH...

Posted by: Ev | Dec 22, 2005 12:16:23 PM

I guess all the desperate shoppers who'll be discouraged from going to Secaucus by the Xanadu traffic will need megastores of their own. Yikes.

It was reported today that Iran has acquired ballistic missiles from North Korea.

Now, since we don't have any proof that Iran actually has WMD we shouldn't be concerned, right Howard?

And since no one can tell what their aims might be we shouldn't jump to conclusions, right Nancy?
