...serving up your daily dish.
Yogi doesn't hibernate in winter. In fact, the cold weather is the the best time to see him at his museum in Little Falls. Newsday catches up with Montclair's famous:
How often do you work at the museum?
I come here just about every day. It passes the time in the winter. If the weather were good, I'd be playing golf.
What's your handicap?
A lot.
Berra's been watching movies as part of his YES Network show "Yogi And A Movie." What's your favorite baseball flick of all time?
"Pride of the Yankees", hands down. From the baseball story to the love story ("Always" has always been one of my theme songs)and unfortunately to the bitter end due to his ALS. Something my own family experienced with our own Yankee fan.

"Field of Dreams"
Who doesn't want to believe that "if you build it...he will come".
My favorite moment when the Burt Lancaster character in response to a question about was it a disappointment only playing on afternoon in the majors sez: "If I'd only beena doctor for one afternoon, that would have been a disappointment."
Yeah..."Field of Dreams".

The Natural - isn't it every kid's dream to hit the game winning home run?

I like the Broadway play, "Damn Yankees." Don't know if it was ever made into a movie or not. Someone should make a move about the Brooklyn Dodgers if it hasn't already been done.

The Stratton story (1949) Jimmy Stewart
Texas farm boy Stratton rises from the minors to the Chicago White Sox.
He accidentally shoots himself in the leg while on a hunting excursion. When the leg has to be amputated, it looks as though his pitching career is over.
He broods over his bad luck for months before snapping out of his self-pity and learning to walk with his new prosthesis. Takes takes a job pitching with the Southern All-Stars. His return to baseball is rough but he is finally able to make a successful comeback.

A beautiful Yogi moment at the Salvation Army concert at MSU yesterday (Mt. Hebron's Chorus also sang) when he read a small speech about and choked up as he listed the things the Salvation Army does in the community.
