Giants fumble the opening kick off...why do I put myself through this agony every Sunday.

Thankfully, a couple of years ago, my family decided to draw names out of a hat and set a price limit and it has made Christmas considerably less stressful and much more fun. Now I can dedicate my shopping time to finding one truly great gift. It has also eased the financial burden as well.
I highly recommend it to everybody!

First RU and then the Giants. It would be enough to make me look forward to going back to work tomorrow, except that since I work from home, I'm already back at work.

So before Halloween, my wife and I stopped into Fortuneoff and noticed they had already done full-blown Christmas decorating. Before Halloween? WTF? We were talking to a pretty sharp sales rep, and she said, "Oh, it's a corporate decision to get started really early on the Christmas marketing this year -- before people see their heating bills this season."
Anyone else think the Christmas thing has started even too-earlier than usual this year?

Capt V: Your sales rep was on the money. I am wondering though - I have seen a few ads, but in the last couple of years the stores started slashing prices real early - around mid-November or so. If they are really scared this year, maybe waiting a little longer could result in additional savings... What do our merchandising-wise bloggers have to say?
(Remember, only Fafoofniks pay retail...)
