...serving up your daily dish.
And speaking of pre-election controversy, was anyone else surprised that the Star-Ledger, usually a Democratic stalwart, endorsed Forrester for governor on Sunday?
Put simply, Corzine appears to suffer from the same disease of wanting to please everyone that contributed to the downward spiral of James E. McGreevey's administration.
Or do Baristaville's liberals just read the New York Times?

I was out of state and didn't see the Sunday Ledger.
I'm glad that the editorial staff sees the obvious problems like the rest of us. Corzine will bring more of the same because all of the liberal constituents will want their piece of the pie and nothing will get done.
Although, the Weedman could bring back the party atmosphere of the 70s. "...Don't bogart that joint my friend..."

Do we really want a governor who has a fake office in DC just to avoid paying taxes here? Perhaps if people like FOrrester paid the taxes he should pay, you and I wouldn't have to pick up the slack. (This goes double for Cheney, Halliburton, et. al. and federal taxes).

Aside from the usual polemic posturing by those who can't see in duotone, the political posts over the last few weeks have been more contemptuous of both candidates than anything else. No one seems to like the choices we have right now, and I can't blame them; neither candidate would get my vote for Dog Catcher.
But I love the headline on the picture running with this topic. I can see the headline on Armageddon +1: "Jerseyan, 3 Billion Others, Die in Nuclear Holocaust." Is the Star Ledger really that significant a paper? To me, it's all ads and high school football scores.

"Fish are jumpin', and the sewage is high..." Seriously, Senor Ice: you would eat a fish caught in an Essex County body of water? And we should all be extolling the fact that Rutgers may be Bowl-ward Bound! Now that BC, VT, and UMiami have gotten out of the Big East, Rutgers can shine.

CTG,
Fishing column is for ocean angling. I wouldn't step foot in an Essex County body of water.
Rutgers Rocks

"Bet your goin' fishin'

Bet your life
that your sweet wife's
gonna catch more fish than you.
Many fish bite it you got good bait,
here's a little tip that I would like to relate:
Many fish bite if you got good bait
I'm a goin' fishin'
mama's goin' fishin'

Pete - nope, I'm not RU, but I am glad that after all the bad press and fair-weather fans they have suffered they are getting some respect. They certainly didn't belong in a league with the University of Underwater Basketweaving and Notre Dame of Chestnut Hill. But the Hokies came from out of nowhere, too - and watch out if Texas stumbles somewhere down the line. I just love College Football.

Even Jim Gearhart, a big Corzine supporter, called him out this morning and finally made some sense. Corzine won't stand up to Sharp James, Mayor for Life, because he likes to keep everybody happy with money, gifts, diamond bracelets, etc.
Corzine is a coward who will get blackmailed because of the trail he left behind him. We'll be in the same situation as we were with McGreevey. Doesn't anyone know what's really going on here? How is Corzine still leading in the polls?
