Brian Beauchamp, who moved from Glen Ridge to Montclair in the past month, died in car accident Friday night, leaving behind two children and his wife Leah. Friends at the Glen Ridge Congregational Church are organizing efforts to assist the family. We extend our condolences.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Brian T. Beauchamp Memorial Fund, c/o Glen Ridge Congregational Church, 195 Ridgewood Ave., Glen Ridge, NJ 07028. The fund is being established to provide for the education of the Beauchamp children.
Brain Beauchamp's funeral will be Tuesday at 4 pm at the Glen Ridge Congregational Church. Afterwards, family and friends are invited back to the Beauchamp house on Willowdale.
I had the great fortune of attending one of Dr. Leah Beauchamp's classes the summer, when she taught at Montclair State University. It was the last class she taught at MSU before she moved on to a new teaching position.
Dr. Beauchamp often wove highly entertaining and illuminating stories of her husband and two children, to better illustrate her points. She also indicated she and her family had experienced a particularly trying year and I am so very sorry to hear of her loss.
She is a extraordinary woman and an exceptionally gifted teacher and my heart goes out to her and her family.

Such tragedy should not happen to this nice family who were great neighbors and caring members of this community. Many prayers are with you all, Leah--Glen Ridge is in shock and mourning.

Don Nocito, buddy since my teen days in Media PA (ca. 1967), called me Saturday to tell me of this tragedy, and of his fondness for Brian. I pledged to sleuth the net and send news of arrangements out to Idaho, which I shall do right now.
I am so sorry for your incalculable loss.
May you find peace.

I did not know Brian very well. He got me my an assignment at Toshiba in Wayne. From my first conversation with Brian I could tell by his voice that he was motivated and committed to what he was doing. He gave me a lot of encouragement and went out of his way to help me get the position. He was a genuine person who I felt cared about people. Rare in these times. I was/am very saddened by his sudden departure from this world. I send my condolences to the family. May his soul rest in Peace with God.
