...serving up your daily dish.
Winding up summer at the Glen Ridge pool, a potluck gathering complete with a Hawaiian shirt contest. The event was judged by the children's applause -- the winner is the man on the right. Photos sent by reader Charlie Potters.

Just yesterday I saw a guy at Starbucks on Valley wearing the wildest Hawaiian shirt I've ever seen... barely clad wahinis all over it!
Love those shirts!

Yeah, he's the obvious winner, although I'm not sure I'd actually purchase his shirt over the others.

I think the second guy from the left looks the most comfortable and cutest in his -- he's even got some cool thing around his neck, as if he was plucked off a stool at a tiki bar.

Liz,
That cute guy, second from left, is our own Baristanet photo contributor and constant commenter Paul Zalewsky. (I liked his shirt best too.)

Seeing as I own three of the four shirts pictured I guess I know what I need to wear should I ever make it to a barista gathering.

IMHO the most bodacious Hawaiian shirts are those designed and manufactured by Reyn Spooner; they can be found here: www.reyns.com. Suck 'em up!

Out here those are referred to as "Aloha Barf" shirts. Draw your own conclusions.
