NOW SERVING MONTCLAIR, GLEN RIDGE AND BLOOMFIELD
daily dish

September  10

Double Your Donation

Yard_sale Check out our classifieds -- specifically a multi-family yard sale on Herman Street in Glen Ridge today, 10-5. All proceeds will go towards Hurricane Katrina and will be donated through UBS (where one of the sale organizers, Betsy Emerson, works). UBS has a matching gift program for employee donations -- so anything collected will be doubled. Tons of children's items--a crib, high chairs, ride-on toys, etc.-- are for sale. So score some goodies and help the relief fund grow.

Hope people can come out. I didn't organize this event, just contributed some items--credit should go to the Herman Street residents!! But there are a lot of good-quality children's toys and clothes, a beautiful marble-topped coffee table, lots of classic vinyl for record collectors, plus other treasures. Also--great selection of baked goods to satisfy your sweet tooth!

i'll come by contribute, but remind me again--what is herman street off of? (i live in montclair)
also--if there are some unsold car seats and gently used children's goods, perhaps they could be carefully packed and labeled and placed on the big truck that the fire department is sending down to the gulf tomorrow to bring necessary goods.

Herman is the street right off the Glen Ridge Arcade. Coming from Montclair it's a left; coming up from Bloomfield it's a right. They are indeed taking straight donations as well.

Good idea on the truck, will mention when I go back later.

(Both turns off Bloomfield Ave, that is.)
