Barring any breaking news that might bump her off the broadcast, we've learned that Joanna Rich, daughter of Robert Rich of Montclair, will be on CBS Evening News tonight at 6:30 p.m. Joanna is teaching just north of New Orleans and living in the school where she teaches. She discovered this weekend that her own apartment is a lost cause due to roof leaks.
This was a great segment demonstrating the quality of the students graduating from Montclair High School. Joanna Rich is worthy of praise.

Many years ago the Rich family and mine both frequented the same summer pool in Caldwell. From what I saw, they were amazing, compassionate people then, and this article about their daughter, Joanna, is even more so. I wish her only the best in life, although I suppose her own wishes are for others. I also wish that some of the people who read these articles on baristanet.com would choose to comment, gratefully (or should I say, gracefully), on her efforts. She is helping us, too, believe it or not.
What a wonderful thought.
