We're part of a trend! Click on the radio to listen to last night's discussion of hyperlocal journalism on public radio's Open Source, with Baristanet co-editor Liz George.
Yes, it's interesting, and well put in the part I've heard so far.

HEY that's the Zenith Trans Oceanic radio - we've got a nonfunctioning one of those in the basement.

Is this picture racist or ageist (given the name of the picture)?

Liz, you come off really well on the interview (though I don't have a lot of patience for the interviewer). Congratulations, you guys are very clever.

This is the best hour I've spent streaming in a very long time! BRAVO ~ LIZ! Not only is she well written but also well spoken.
This "stream" has reminded me just what a class act I've become involved in and am genuinely grateful for it's existance!
Kudos & thank you!!
P.S. Who is Jay Rosen??
Posted by: Surrounded | Aug 9, 2005 4:39:46 PM
And thanks guys for the compliments -- Jay Rosen was my journalism professor at NYU way back when...

Nevermind. I just answered my own question since Google is my friend:

LOL!
Reporter: I'll raise ya a wind-up "victrola" with a '78' of Liberace and one of Jerry Vale. **Not sure if it works though...I need to try sometime.**
