Yes, it's interesting, and well put in the part I've heard so far.

Posted by: cathar | Aug 9, 2005 1:51:56 PM

HEY that's the Zenith Trans Oceanic radio - we've got a nonfunctioning one of those in the basement.

Is this picture racist or ageist (given the name of the picture)?

Posted by: Kevin Lee Allen | Aug 9, 2005 3:28:15 PM

/me smacks KLA in the head with a tuna!! ;)

(why not a flounder or carp, you may ask) I'm partial to tuna with minced onion and heavy mayo, is why!

How much of the show goes on before we hear from Liz..she wasn't mentioned at the start as being one of the quests

Posted by: wayne robbins | Aug 9, 2005 4:25:10 PM

Liz, you come off really well on the interview (though I don't have a lot of patience for the interviewer). Congratulations, you guys are very clever.

This is the best hour I've spent streaming in a very long time! BRAVO ~ LIZ! Not only is she well written but also well spoken.

This "stream" has reminded me just what a class act I've become involved in and am genuinely grateful for it's existance!

Kudos & thank you!!

P.S. Who is Jay Rosen??

Posted by: Surrounded | Aug 9, 2005 4:39:46 PM

I first come on at 14:20 minutes into the hour...

Posted by: Liz | Aug 9, 2005 4:39:52 PM

And thanks guys for the compliments -- Jay Rosen was my journalism professor at NYU way back when...

Posted by: Liz | Aug 9, 2005 4:41:24 PM

Nevermind. I just answered my own question since Google is my friend:

http://journalism.nyu.edu/faculty/rosen.html

P.S.(again) these "notepad errors" are killin' me!!

Posted by: Surrounded | Aug 9, 2005 4:44:19 PM

Pops, it's a 1939 Philco floor model, not a Zenith. And it works. On good days.

Posted by: Reporter in Stitches | Aug 9, 2005 5:07:57 PM

LOL!

Reporter: I'll raise ya a wind-up "victrola" with a '78' of Liberace and one of Jerry Vale. **Not sure if it works though...I need to try sometime.**

Posted by: Surrounded | Aug 9, 2005 5:16:20 PM

I had a hard time connecting to this (took forever) but I'm glad I persevered. Very thought-provoking, and such fun to feel part of something that is so so cutting edge.

Posted by: Lurkerlady | Aug 9, 2005 9:44:12 PM

Was Jeff Jarvis invited? And why not??

Posted by: The Prop | Aug 10, 2005 7:17:10 AM

And Christopher: take a deeeep breath.

"such fun to feel part of something that is so so cutting edge..."

So when do we go on the payroll?
