Reporting from the land of Proposition 13 and endless coastline, your Barista, who tried out the latest Left Coast accessory while strolling down State Street in Santa Barbara. Forget PAWS and the little homeless puppies and kittens. Here they solicit for homeless snakes by passing out reptilian neckwear in a lively bit of street theater. (Luckily, they take them back too.) Not our usual fashion statement, but when you write a book about rattlesnakes, you have to do your bit for publicity.
Weather: in the 70's, no humidity.
Is this the beginning of the Barista Book Tour?
I have a friend whose son is into reptiles, I am sure he cans et you up with props when you land at the Montclair Book Center.
