Lost Stolen Dog

Cheri Dworkin, co-owner of the Coffee Club Cafe on Valley Road, is offering a reward for the safe return of her Wheaton terrier Jackson, who disappeared from the cafe's back patio yesterday. "My husband and I are just devastated. He's our baby," says Dworkin, who believes the dog was stolen. Jackson is four, weighs about 32 lbs. and is cream-colored. If you find him, call 973.744.7090.

What a shame. Can you post a pic of the breed - so we know what to look out for. I live right near there and will keep an eye out.

PS - There was a great article in the New Yorker some months back about a family who did not give up a very legnthy search for their stolen dog, and finally got him back. Not to create false hope, but it does happen.

Sadly, finding a Wheaten Terrier in Montclair may be like a needle in a haystack. Everyone has one.

Here's the AKC page for them:

Here's hoping he turns up safe!

I studied at their coffee shop once, and the woman was HORRIBLE to her employees. The food was great, and the service was great, but I never went back because the owner lady was just so nasty to her employees. I hope she finds her dog, but I hope she treats her dog better than her workers.

Fred & Cheri Dworkin have their dog back. Their head chef Patrick had taken the dog and given it to his girlfriend and a gift! The Montclair police department did a great job investigating the theft and Jackson is now home safe and Pactrick is in jail! The Dworkins would like to thank everyone that offered to help look for him while he was missing.
