Big movie weekend in Baristaville and there's a good chance one adult in my house will get to see both Mr. & Mrs. Smith and The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl. For those who've caught these two newly released action/dramas already, give us some details. Was the chemistry really that hot? Not between the kid superheroes -- of course, we're talking about Brangelina. After all the hype, the movie better deliver, since no one wants a repeat of this.

"Mr. and Mrs. Smith" is flat out a dreadful mess. There was a woman guffawing throughout it behind me, and I actually felt sorry for her. No plot, no sense, not even a glimmer of charm. (And, spoiler alert of a sort, no real ending that makes sense, either.) Perhaps Jennifer Aniston can sneak into a showing and laugh at her ex (who's looking somewhat more worn than he did in "Troy," his previous clinker), but for anyone else, this does qualify as both a waste of money and evidence yet again of Hollywood's contempt for audiences.
