You're Still Here?
Route37am_2

Apparently the Rapture happened this morning, and Scot Surbeck, driving to the city via Route 3, was there to capture it.

Damn, I really thought I'd be amongst the Saved. At least we'll have each other until we're crushed by the fire and brimstone. CHEERS!

There they go ... up ... up ... up into the Big Blog in the Sky!

Posted by: Chris | May 18, 2005 3:59:24 PM

It really is an outstanding sight, isn't it? Nicely done, Scot.

Can you imagine? What IS the blog world like in heaven? Is snarkiness verboten? Would it still be entertaining?

Posted by: Mujer En Fuego | May 18, 2005 4:13:44 PM

Gosh, Scot, you take beautiful pictures! You should have your OWN blog of just pictures! (a picture is, afterall, worth 1000 words).

Are you kidding? In Blog Heaven, even God is snarky.

Posted by: The Barista | May 18, 2005 4:17:26 PM

Like I said yesterday, that Scott Surbeck takes a nice picture.

So maybe we've all gone up in the rapture and this is blog heaven and the Barista is...

On second thought, I guess we didn't make the cut.

If we were in Blog Heaven, I wouldn't have to suffer through my day job to experience it.

So then maybe this is Blog Limbo?

P.S. Dear Barista - I agree, it ain't heaven without snappy retorts!

Posted by: Mujer en Fuego | May 18, 2005 5:04:13 PM

There is no blog heaven. Only the other place.

Scot - wanted to chime in how remarkable your photos are...

Often makes a visit to the Barista a treat.

Thanks for your work!

Pay attention, people. God is snarky NOW. :)

I too was on Rt 3, just before 8 AM, when that picture was taken. It was truly amazing to see the streaks of sun filtering through the clouds. I thought the next thing to happen would be Charlton Heston coming down from the Mount!

Glad to see someone had a camera to capture the moment.

Aw, I missed it. Figures that this morning I had to come into work early and was at my desk at 6:45am - long before that beautiful sight! Thanks for sharing the photo, Scot!
