I'm 69% pure, with a 31% corruption factor.

What's even scarier is that I would score that high or higher on at least 4 other wensites.

Color me addicted.

Posted by: latebloomer | May 1, 2005 10:07:58 AM

Make that "websites".

But you knew that.

Posted by: latebloomer | May 1, 2005 10:08:41 AM

75.9% Baristanet pure
24.1% Baristanet corrupt

I'm disappointed that my corrupt score isn't higher.

Posted by: Chris | May 1, 2005 10:13:06 AM

58.9 % pure....

Posted by: butchcjg | May 1, 2005 10:13:24 AM

I'm 27.6% corrupted - not too bad.

Posted by: annie oakley | May 1, 2005 11:02:53 AM

You answered "yes" to 1 of 29 questions, making you 96.6% Baristanet pure (3.4% Baristanet corrupt); that is, you are 96.6% pure in the Baristanet domain (your Baristaddiction is 3.4%).

I guess I need to work on my corruption factor. I thought for sure my daily reading was pretty bad, but then again this is my first comment! Love the site even if I do live in Caldwell.(I've spent a large amount of my life in Bloomfield between family & friends, so the gossip is all interesting to me!)

Posted by: Dana | May 1, 2005 11:14:21 AM

65.5 pure, 34.5 corrupt...

Posted by: Pam | May 1, 2005 11:43:02 AM

You can improve your scores by buying a Baristanet mug. They'll be available at the party May 9th.

Posted by: The Barista | May 1, 2005 11:56:31 AM

69% Baristanet pure, 31% corrupt

Posted by: Nancy | May 1, 2005 1:03:16 PM

Do I get anything for taking this test?:)

Posted by: wayne robbins | May 1, 2005 2:09:37 PM

Posted by: walleroo | May 1, 2005 2:22:19 PM

You answered "yes" to 7 of 29 questions, making you 75.9% Baristanet pure (24.1% Baristanet corrupt); that is, you are 75.9% pure in the Baristanet domain (your Baristaddiction is 24.1%).

Posted by: Jim | May 1, 2005 3:25:05 PM

65.5%.

Don't I get points for posting at 2:30 in the morning? I thought that was pretty dependent behaviour.

Posted by: MiloG | May 1, 2005 3:31:33 PM

You can improve your scores by sleeping with Debbie. She'll be available at the party, May 9th.

Posted by: Liz | May 1, 2005 10:38:19 PM

I hope you mean "Debbie" of doing Dallas fame in the reference above, not Ms. Galant, to be gallant. This is going to sound hopelessly square and Republican, but to me the woman who runs Baristanet is a goddess and she is always (a la Ms. Kerr) properly called "Deborah." (I also bow my head each time I say her name, but then I liked going to parochial school.)

Posted by: cathar | May 1, 2005 11:02:21 PM

Then sleep with Liz. What was your score by the way?

Posted by: The Barista | May 1, 2005 11:16:53 PM

I think I was pushing 60% but I lied on 2 of the questions....mea culpa

Posted by: PAZ | May 2, 2005 6:06:38 AM

You didn't say anything about this in your invitation. Hmm, I suppose my son could go to the Yankee game by himself...

Posted by: walleroo | May 2, 2005 10:22:14 AM

I try to avoid taking tests and I always go way clear of the game of "humping the hostess." (Isn't that from Albee's play?) I do adoration, dear barista, that's all. And if that includes Liz as your handmaiden and fellw nymph, ditto for her too, so be it. But again, no tests. Or none I'll admit to, at least.

Posted by: cathar | May 2, 2005 12:27:20 PM

Silly Barista. Cathar cannot be measured on the same axis as the rest of us. Why, that would be absurd.

Posted by: walleroo | May 2, 2005 2:04:06 PM

Alright, jackal, as if this is a test of anything. I had a 20.7% Baristanet addiction factor. Happy now? Reassured that I remain a man of the (real) people? I still won't buy either a mug or a t-shirt, anyway not until the barista buys a Harley franchise or a brewpub.

Posted by: cathar | May 2, 2005 2:21:09 PM

Are you addressing me, sir?

First, I don't believe you--the one and only Cathar--scored a measely 21 percent. I scored more than 60, owning none of the paraphanalillialia, and you're far more hard core than I am. SEcond, Baristaville is not inhabited by real people but rather by proscrastinating writers and editors, who steal realness from others.

Posted by: walleroo | May 2, 2005 3:35:27 PM

Here is the result of your Baristanet Purity Test.
You answered "yes" to 29 of 29 questions, making you 0% Baristanet pure (100% Baristanet corrupt); that is, you are 0% pure in the Baristanet domain (your Baristaddiction is 100%).

Liz was good, but Debbie was better

Posted by: Right of Center | May 2, 2005 4:15:29 PM

Leave it to ROC to take advantage of both. Was this in lieu of actually attending the party next Monday?
