...serving up your daily dish.
Montclair boy meets Montclair girl. She’s at MKA, he’s at MHS. She goes off to become a fashionista. He, an industrial designer. They reconnect. It’s love. And what stands between them and lifelong happiness? The fact that Montclair simply doesn’t have an “it” store with premier denim labels and hip sportswear. As a result, Cisco Station was born, with Alyson Pardo and Mark Mangogna the proud parents of Montclair’s newest trend-right sportswear store. Brands not seen this side of Barney’s Coop include Loomstate, a premium 100% organic cotton denim line (who knew?), Splendid tees, Ella Moss and Bartuck, Britney Spears’ current jean of choice. Bill’s Khaki’s are a locally made specialty khaki line, with an elegant, slightly prepster feel. American Apparel is another hot label – all made in LA, all sweatshop free.
Besides beautiful goods inside, a traffic-stopping acid green exterior is just a tease of this freshly rendered space. Tin ceilings and molding, gorgeous walls of rock, authentic Eames chairs and Mies Van Der Rohe furniture complete the laid back, yet upscale vibe.

They are my neighbors, and the place turned out looking great...I was hoping to feature them on a future segment of my cable show, Inside Montclair..yet, they are thinking that people don't watch Tv - 34, or my show...Hey, if anyone out here thinks it'll be good for them to be on the show, go tell them you watch ( if you do ) and maybe soon, we could all see what a lovely new place they have.

Good luck. Their handcrafted signage is about the best thing in the Town Center. Nice addition to the area.

And here comes Urban Outfitters to put them out of business......

"Walls of rock?" Caves have walls of rock. Was the store somehow carved out of a ridge somewhere? Transported from Luray, VA? Does the place come with bats and stalactites? Or did you mean walls of brick? Brickface? There's quite a difference.

Cathar,
You've been to Luray? Love the ad signs for it as you head down Rt 81

Hey, I thought all "Progressive" Bluewave members were really big on natural selection?
Or, perhaps they favor some protection for small businesses by intelligent design?
And when I shop at hip-urban sham-urbane clothiers I maintain they don't necessarily have a Right to Life and it's my wallet - my choice.

Ruby. Kawayan. Nuff said! Both have fabulous merch and incredibly nice salespeople. Cisco is definitely a cool addition to the town ... but i saw the same belt i bought @ Ruby for $55 on sale there for $95!!!

Yawn. Expensive clothes do NOT make the man or woman. It's all about how one wears their garb, the attitude conveyed. Who's to say a $15 belt from Old Navy won't look or wear as well?

Okay, I'm not that old or that unhip...but does Mark look like a big dork in that t-shirt?
Let's hope Alyson does the buying at Cisco...

Culture Couture has been carrying American Apparel since they opened, and for about $5-$8 less each tee. Not every label they carry is "luxury", but, as a social worker with a student loan to pay off who can't spend $220 on a pair of pants, I love their fun selection.

I love thier store...I have been trying to get them to carry my line of menswear for some time--but I cannot confirm sweatshop free, since made in China-stinks. Premium opened up down the street--lets see how this plays out. Even tho they carry different lines...still the same gist
