...serving up your daily dish.
There's nothing like Spring weather and outdoor seating to transform a street. Church Street over the weekend was throbbing with activity, with Suzette's, Gimme Jimmy's, Raymond's, Taro and Church Street Cafe all offering alfresco tables. The Barista and friends enjoyed Church Street Cafe's new Friday night all-you-can-eat mussels special -- a real treat that even the anti-war protesters might want to try after they put down their signs. And we were delighted to see the street mobbed on Saturday evening, after the 7 pm screening of "Crash." Gimme Jimmy's was standing room only and Suzette's took the overflow for moviegoers who wanted to discuss the dark side of racial diversity.
Raymond's, meanwhile, gets a great big wet kiss in the Jersey section of the New York Times, in its special Montclair issue. More on the Raymond's review on our Food page.
