April 9
...serving up your daily dish.
Looks like Bloomfield Schools super Thomas Dowd is getting the boot. Click on the fine print, above, to see Resolution 533, on Tuesday's school board agenda, which would give Dowd notice that he won't be rehired. His term ends next June. Full PDF version of the agenda here.
It was bound to happen. The not-so-super is getting the pooper scooper!

Yeah, Baby! Reminds me of a little Abba ditty!
Waterloo - I was defeated, you won the war
Waterloo - Promise to love you for ever more
Waterloo - Couldn't escape if I wanted to
Waterloo - Knowing my fate is to be with you
Waterloo - Finally facing my Waterloo

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

Yeah Baby! Let's Dream On with Aerosmith
Dream On, dream on, dream on
Dream yourself a dream come true
Dream On, dream on, dream on
Dream until your dream comes true
Dream On, Dream On, Dream On
Dream On, Dream On, Dream On, Dream On
Sing with me, sing for the years
Sing for the laughter 'n sing for the tears
Sing with me, if it's just for today
Maybe tomorrow the good Lord will take you away

When are you gonna come down
When are you going to land
I should have stayed on the farm
I should have listened to my old man
You know you can't hold me forever
I didn't sign up with you
I'm not a present for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues
So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howl
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough
Back to the howling old owl in the woods
Hunting the horny back toad
Oh I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road
What do you think you'll do then
I bet that'll shoot down your plane
It'll take you a couple of vodka and tonics
To set you on your feet again
Maybe you'll get a replacement
There's plenty like me to be found
Mongrels who ain't got a penny
Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.
(not that we're happy about the news!!)

Not that I like to see anyone fired. . .but. . . condescension to the masses is never a good thing.

How can one pretend to "serve" the masses through education and "condescend" to the masses?
Disgrace.
