With nametags with "noms de Baristanet," rather than our real monickers, yes? This way attendees can decide for themselves whether so-and-so is really more likable in person, and thus decide for themselves whether or not to 'fess up about one's real identity. And no live bellicosity.

Does the picture indicate what the dress code will be? I may have to change my mind about coming.....

And if everybody follows the "clothing optional" dress code, that'll surely prove more fun for most folks than even Bobbi Brown had when she famously saw the Stones in their underwear. (Even if there probably won't be anything half as interesting to view as the extensive needle tracks on Keith RIchards' arms, tattoos and birthmarks notwithstanding.)

oooh, this is so cool...I will definitely try to make it.

What's with the AOL logo (or what ever that is) on "La Danse"?

I thought it was a combination Greek delta and the letter the Spartans used to have on their shields (the lambda?). As for what the illustration may presage, no daisy chains at this get-together! Okay?

Also for a comparison, here is the WC's Party Invitation image. Along with the approved party topic list.

Yes - let's pick apart the graphics Barista uses. Sounds like a kind response to a party invite!

Butch you are always picking a fight where there is none!
There was no criticism of the B lady and the graphic noplace nohow ceptin' yo' head!

Actually, butch, if you'd gone to ROC's suggested images, you'd have seen that they're actually pretty funny. "Lively up yourself," as Bob Marley put it, and just think of all the white hetero male conservative oppression and penis size comparisons (followed, of course, by heavy beer chugging to rival even that seen in the Czech Republic) you'll have a chance to experience firsthand come 5/9.

Yes, they are very funny. You're on a roll, ROC. Apparently this weather agrees with you.

ROC -- thanks for the improved graphic (it's up) as well as the hilarious invite/topic list. Remember you can always attend anonymously, like a fly on the wall...

I think this get together sounds like fun... but no name tags.
how about we have a little contest... whoever correctly guesses the most id's of the baristans in attendance gets a prize...

I have lived in Baristaville for the past 20 years. I have been hanging around this watercooler for the past few months. Although I am shy, I felt compelled to comment on two recent topics. I think a get-together would be fun. I would like to go. However, I fear that adding human characteristics to these e-people would be as if my childhood leggo-people came to life. Would it ever be the same game again?

Miss Martta
and, something truly funny (the last one requires quicktime)

I always wanted to "grow up" and become a Playskool figure (though I'd have preferred one from the Pirates set). Thanks, nonetheless.

Okay, that movie was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. Ha!
