News about the Marlboro Inn, from one of our "tipsters" ...
Come take a look.... The model house is up!
So we did, and here's what we saw...
Guess our tipster was envisioning a "Marlboro Inn trailer park." At least we got to see some gorgeous forsythia -- wonder how much longer these bushes will be standing...

Everytime I drive by the site of the old Marlboro Inn, it is with a heavy heart indeed. . . .
Not because I care they tore the place down. It's just that I'm already tired of hearing about it and know this will be a subject of conversation in Montclair for eons.
(It would have been much much preferable if it could have been deserted by its owners and the town could have debated its proper use for say 10-15 years. Yeah, that would have been fun.)

At first, I got drawn into the whole "they're building 10 houses that just wont' fit in" argument...And I agree with that to some extent.
But, some of those houses around there dont seem to fit in much anyway. Some of them are beautiful - but some arent. And, then you have that house directly across the street with all the crazy birdhouses hanging from trees and the big scarecrow bunny outside...

That's it! That's how Plofker is gonna fit 10 houses on that lot...they'll all be trailers or mobile homes.
