NOW SERVING MONTCLAIR, GLEN RIDGE AND BLOOMFIELD
daily dish

March  28

Rainy Days and Mondays

Localflooding_3 Choruses of "rain, rain go away" have not worked. Now there's a lake forming on Hamilton Road in Glen Ridge. Noah, bring your ark and two of every animal. This just in...

The National Weather service has issued a flood warning for the Passaic River at Pine Brook, Little Falls, Ramapo River at Pompton Lakes and Rockaway River at Boonton below reservoir.

UPDATE: Word earler this evening from a reader that flood waters reached all the way up the sidewalk to the post office steps in Glen Ridge. Careful driving during your morning commute. And send pictures.
Aren't you glad you weren't these folks filming today on Christopher Street near the former Marlboro Inn...

Kayak my dear, kayak. Arks are so like out of date.

Ugh, my backyard is flooded. There is a little water in my basement. My son has strep throat and I just found out I owe 3000.00 more to the IRS.!!!So far, I would say this has not been a good day.

PS ..I am not sure if this is considered whining--or venting ??!!

Sorry to hear all that. When it rains, it pours, eh?

It's a vent, S.

:-)

Do you have a sump pump?

We have a puddle in the yard, but thankfully the basement is dry and the sump pump has been faithfully discharging.

I hope your son is better soon and that the strep doesn't run thru your family.
