House Party Time

2004_zanesdan Ring, ring, doorbell ring, house party time. The under 6 set grooves to Dan Zanes and Friends (Zanes' videos, along with Laurie Berkner, are shown on Noggin). The Grammy-nominated Zanes, founder of the Del Fuegos, is performing at the Kasser Theater at Montclair State University on May 15. We suspect this will be a hot ticket, so book ahead.

Speaking of house parties, Baristanet may be having its own shindig sooner than you think. The particulars are TBA, but let us know if you'll be partying with us...

Yes, since you mentioned it: you can hear a full two minutes of each and every one of the 20 songs on this CD, at "the Cutest Little Record Store on the Internet"!

raymond, do you really work for/at cd baby? i love that site. i bought some really off beat stuff there, including the band that sings "oh sting, where is thy death." the emails you guys send out are really funny. in fact, someone on the robbie fulks website posted the email message she got when her cd was shipped. (the whole town turned out to cheer the package on, etc. etc.)

Barista, will this be a costume party?

Barista,

I am so there - give us the deets!

We LOOOVE Dan Zanes. However, I'm not thrilled to pay $10 per kid no matter what age. My infant daughter who is under a year, will sit on my lap and not take up too much breathing space at MSU, but we need to pay for her ticket, too? Sheeeesh. Much as I love Dan, I don't know about shelling out $50 for my family for this. Maybe we'll pop in a DZ CD and drive around Montclair instead.

Sign me,

Grumpy Cheap Mom

Barista,

I will crash your party with my friends and everyone will have a terrible time!

Posted by: Right of Center | Mar 14, 2005 4:54:03 PM

Barista, I think you should book Lex and ROC as an act.

Posted by: walleroo | Mar 14, 2005 5:03:49 PM

Ohhh...eyes wide shut costume party, awesome.

Will you need a DJ?

Posted by: lc | Mar 14, 2005 5:08:01 PM

But ROC, we ARE your (only) 'friends'!

Say Barista...would you like for me to video tape the shindig, maybe I could make a mini segment for my cable show..
( take that CNN )

Sorry to disappoint but that wasn't me. An Imposter poster.

Posted by: Right of Center | Mar 14, 2005 7:08:32 PM

ooh, that's not cool. dear imposter, please don't do that.

i still think Lex and ROC would be better than Laurel and Hardy.

Posted by: walleroo | Mar 14, 2005 8:08:24 PM

I thought that didn't sound like ROC - everyone knows he wouldn't have to crash...
