...serving up your daily dish.
Rome burned.
As the Bloomfield Board of Ed and the Bloomfield Health Department wrangle about who has jurisdiction over diesel exhaust fumes at Bloomfield High School, the evidence mounts. New Jersey is the second-worst state in the US for diesel fuel pollution, with 880 premature deaths and almost 18,000 asthma attacks attributed to diesel exhaust in 1999 alone.
But, hey, these guys, located right in Bloomfield, are working on a cure for lung cancer. Maybe we can kill two birds with one stone, and just let the high school be the site of their next Phase III trial!

Thanks, Deb.
Both the Independent Press and Bloomfield Life ran great stories about this in today's papers (the controversy, not the cure for cancer!!)
