The Marlboro Inn lives to stand another day... as developer Steve Plofker's permit to demolish the building is turned down by the town on a technicality. Of course, mayor Ed Remsen hinted as much when the Barista caught up with him at last month's dedication of the new Montclair fire headquarters.

In the Montclair Times story, Plofker said that he was talking with various prospective buyers about the Inn, but would not elaborate.
