She sure doesn't look like a Democrat, but this eBay vendor seems to think so. It's a Democratic Conventional Kerry National Barbie Doll Dress (click for a close-up), and the auction ends tonight at 11:03 pm.
But forget Barbie. With the Democratic National Convention starting tomorrow in Boston, we thought it was just as good a time as any to ask: which way do you swing?

You are right, she does not look like the typical Democrat. But after a little checking, I learned that, apparently, it is hard to get plastic to 'contort' enough for a more accurate visage.

Well, you have unfortunately just made a statement that defines why political debate in the USA sucks. Because everyone on everyone's "other side" is horrible and personified by certain people. Good job!

Well, I think you are probably right. Well, actually you are. I just suppose I was a little miffed by the barista's partisan swipe.
In fact, nearly all of my friends are quite decent Americans and Democrats.
So, I appologize.

Burst my bubble, why dontcha. I was going to comment on Barbie's financial and material values as they related to her political party, but now I'd feel as if I were categorizing myself more than Barbie. Some people are just no fun at all. Betcha don't like trailer trash Barbie, either.

Despite (or maybe because of) her cultural touchstones, Barbie seems ripe for commentary of "reverse absurd" variety. Out of respect for your sensibilities I will not link to the "Klaus Barbie" or any of the Kama Sutra Ken and Barbies (sometimes having fully articulated limbs can be an advantage)...
